NW Redding sits on the west side of town, north of Hwy 44 — a mix of the Buenaventura corridor's established neighborhoods, the planned Mary Lake community, the Quartz Hill Rd corridor, and hillside acreage lots that stretch out toward Whiskeytown.
It's a quieter side of town. Less retail, more residential. The Buenaventura corridor is the closest-in part of NW Redding — quick access to shopping and downtown, but with a more settled, residential feel than the busy east side. Mary Lake is its own pocket: a planned community with its own private lake and a tight-knit feel. Head further out Quartz Hill Rd and the lots get bigger, the trees taller, and you're really in the foothills.
For buyers who want to be on the west side but stay closer to town than full Keswick-area country living, NW Redding is the sweet spot.
